Buda Kids (ages 8-11): Food Scrap Gardening
Thursday, April 15, 2021
Learn how to turn your food scraps into a garden! We’ll learn about the different parts of plants and how to use a lot of various food scraps. Ms. Caitlin will demo how to propagate an herb, create sweet potato slips, and show you how to save a seed! If you want to follow along, grab any herb (mint, basil, rosemary, sage, etc), an old sweet potato and tooth picks, and any fruit with seeds in it! You’ll also need containers that can be filled with water.
Join the Buda Public Library for virtual weekly programs! Weekly programs provide enrichment and enjoyment for school aged children while allowing connection within our community. Each week will feature different topics including book club/literature studies, art, science activities, and more!
Register once and each week we will send you a zoom link along with information about future classes. A supply list will be communicated through e-mail.
