Makers' Lab Equipment and Supplies

Equipment availability runs on a first come, first served basis during open hours and may require prior reservations. Follow the link to reserve items or to RSVP for open hours.

Effective October 1, 2019, some materials will have fees associated with their use. The equipment and supply table with these fees has been updated below.

Proofgrade materials are made specifically for our laser cutter and are recommended. You can purchase from us or buy specific materials here.

Laser cutter can engrave organic material under 1” and cut through material under ¼”. The max printable area is 11” by 19.5”. Acceptable materials include hard wood, cardboard, paper (can also be cut by Cricut machine), leather, etc. Users should know what kind of material they have purchased and whether it’s been treated or not. We will not accept cork, PVC, or plywood that is not Proofgrade.

Our Makers' Lab is on the go! The Pop Up Makerspace allows our Makers' Lab to be shared with students in Hays CISD. Items in the Pop Up Makerspace can be used during Open Hours but availability may vary.
