Supporting Your Library
How to get involved!
Volunteers are the heart of the small community library. If you enjoy books, computers and people, consider volunteering at the Buda Public Library. We have opportunities for a wide range of ages and abilities.
The library has a number of dedicated volunteers who help with the day-to-day operation of the library. Volunteers assist with many aspects of library service including Texas Reading Club, filing and data entry, reshelving books, Storytime activities, daily building maintenance, and sorting donated materials.
If you would like to be a volunteer, please fill out our Volunteer Application and Agreement and bring it to the library.
Currently, we're looking for volunteers to:
- Present special programs for any age
- Teach a weekly ESL class
- Present storytimes for toddlers and preschoolers on nights and Saturdays
- Create resource lists for a variety of needs (adult literacy, suggested reading lists, and more)
The Friends of the Buda Library support the library in many ways. They are dedicated to meeting the needs of a diverse and rapidly growing community supporting our library in sustaining, expanding and improving excellent staff services, library collections, computers, furnishings, and library staff training. For more information about the Friends, check out their website.
